Education

The Haiti Humanitarian Fund built a secondary school in Haiti, called College Notre Dame de la Presentation.  This action was taken, because at that time, there was not a secondary school in Los Palis and students had to walk miles to the nearest school. Each year when we travel to Los Palis, we are given the opportunity to visit the parish supported schools, give seminars and interact with elementary and high school students. We are fully convinced that our efforts in the past few years have improved the education of children attending the seven mission schools.  Every year, we sponsor many of the 300+ students. The amount for the annual scholarship per student is $300.

With the financial support from one donor from St. Pius X Catholic Church, the high school building was completed for 11th, 12th and 13th grades. This donor provided the funds for us to buy furniture for the school, as well. We also fully equipped a computer room, so the school can provide technology education. The success rates at this high school are above national average.
